The first place to start when thinking about activities for your wedding reception is the dance floor (or what music entertainment will be available). We always recommend you find a DJ that brings the energy you want at your wedding. If you’re wanting a lively dance floor, we’ve got some great friends we can recommend to you.
What about ways to take your dance floor to the next level? We’ve got some ideas!
- Glo Sticks – With so many options available, you can get everyone involved and part of the party. There are even kits where your guests can make their own fun shapes!
- Foam Lights – Maybe you don’t want all the glo stick pieces going everywhere or getting lost? These are a great alternative to keep people engaged and light up the dance floor!
- Props – Add things like colored sunglasses, inflatable instruments, and beads for your guests at the dance for great photos and a lot of fun!

Pictures are moments from your big day. A fun option that we love to see is a Photo Booth Rental for your guests to enjoy. There are many options to choose from, but the main thing is having an activity that is fun for your guests to participate in. Guests can take fun photos of themselves, with the bridal party or couple, or with a group of friends so you all have a fun memory.

This is one of our favorite offerings from our additional services! Any of our package clients have the ability to add our Photo Booth as a rental option for their big day. We supply the backdrop, props, equipment, and staff, and your guests have an amazing time! We print out all the photos that are taken so this can also double as a party favor for your guests. And YOU get all the photos in a photo book as a keepsake to remember all the fun that was had at your reception. It’s picture perfect!

Wedding Reception Activity #3: Watercolor Guest Paintings/Live Painting
A unique opportunity that we love is to have a watercolor artist on site during your reception to create guest paintings. This doubles as a fun experience, but also a great party favor! Your guests will get a beautiful keepsake from your day.
If you choose a live painter to capture your first kiss or a moment coming back down the aisle, those same painters can offer entertainment during your reception as they continue the art you hired them to do! This is a great keepsake for you, but it also gives your guests a form of entertainment watching the masterpiece come to life through your reception.

A new and exciting opportunity is offering permanent jewelry at your reception. This is something fun, unique, and beautiful for your guests to remember your wedding by.
