We’ve had a lot of fun with being creative in the past, so we’ve listed 4 of our favorites!
#1 – Crochet Flowers
Yea – like, actual crocheted floral with yarn and needle. One of our bride’s sisters is a wiz with a crochet hook and made GORGEOUS floral for the wedding day. All the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages were crocheted to give a unique twist on a focal point of the day. Being crocheted by the bride’s sister also gave it a personal touch that added to the uniqueness of the idea. It went over so well, and gave the couple and family members the opportunity to keep their flowers from the wedding for years to come. #2 – Vinyl Records Guestbook
We’ve actually had a few couples do this for their wedding day and it is such a unique way to receive notes from your guests. You can style the table with an old record player to bring the idea to life, and after your wedding, you can frame the vinyl to hang in your home. Our number one tip for this type of guestbook is to cover the back of the vinyl records with paper. When you hang these in your home, you’ll want to see all the signatures, so covering one side of the vinyl with paper allows you to make sure your guests only sign one side.
#3 – Hotel Room Key Sleeves
This one is so fun, and a lot less work than welcome bags! Customizing key card holders for your hotel guests is a great way to elevate your wedding guest experience with a personalized touch. Our favorite things to include on these are a schedule of the weekend, a QR code to the FAQ page on your wedding website, and personalized colors of phrases that really make it uniquely you! #4 – Wedding Time Capsule
This one is easily our favorite since it can be incorporated into any wedding regardless of style, location, or flow. It’s such a personal touch to your wedding day that will be fruitful for many years to come. Whether it’s one card per table, or one card per person, the idea is that whatever number table a guest is sitting at, is the anniversary year they will write you a note for. For example, if a guest is sitting at table 5, they would write a note to the couple for their 5th wedding anniversary. These notes can be congratulations, advice, or a date night idea. It’s a great way to add some personal touches to your day and incorporate your guests into your marriage for years to come.
